I founded Digital Wire Consulting GmbH in 1995 as a web design and web hosting company. I had two SGI machines and several NeXT Cubes as servers. Most backend implementations were done in Perl and shell scripts. I left for New York in 1998 and sold most of my equity.

In addition to providing web design, applications, and web hosting, we also created and hosted the subculture.ch site — a free email service and a platform where early artists and pioneering internet offerings found a home.
